Model 405 Bench Press The versatile Stimpson 405 Bench Press is available with either a heavy duty cast iron frame, or in a lighter version aluminum frame. Used extensively in many businesses for setting eyelets, grommets and washers and snaps, the 405 has now become the popular choice for setting Stimpson self-piercing grommets and washers in most lightweight fabrics. 405 Machine Specifications Height 12" Weight (Cast Iron) 20 lbs Weight (Aluminum) 10 lbs Throat Depth 2 3/4 " Stroke 1 3/4" Bench Space 3 1/2" x 9" The 405 is extremely durable and though replacement parts are always available, they are very rarely required. The 405's tools are quickly interchangeable and while the operation is entirely by hand, the quality of work is equal to that done by large automatic machines.
